MASST-R Module 4: Relationship Skills

Relationship skills, as defined through the Social Emotional literature, involves establishing and maintaining healthy and rewarding relationships based on cooperation; resisting inappropriate social pressure; preventing, managing, and resolving interpersonal conflict; and seeking help when needed. In MASST-R, students learn how to analyze and evaluate situations for themselves and to develop and sustain new, more appropriate behaviors without external controls. Students thus achieve independent, self-directed social skills resulting in the development and maintenance of positive relationships.
